Almost nobody in event rentals publishes prices. The category runs on quotes, which makes budgeting a wedding or an activation an exercise in guesswork until a proposal lands. We publish every rate, so this page does the obvious thing with that: it analyses our own 2026 price list, item by item, and tells you what event furniture actually costs.
Method. Every published rental rate in the Vogue Rentals catalogue as of September 2026 — 239 items across 32 categories. Prices are per item, per event, before delivery. This is our own price list, not a survey of the industry; other companies will differ, and most will not tell you by how much.
The headline numbers
| Measure | Across the whole catalogue |
|---|---|
| Items priced | 239 |
| Cheapest item | $1.45 |
| Most expensive item | $1,890 |
| Median price | $90 |
| Average price | $186 |
The gap between the median and the average is the whole story of this category. Half the catalogue rents for under ninety dollars, but a handful of large pieces — bars, sofas, long tables — drag the average to more than double that. Budgets go wrong when someone prices a wedding off the average instead of the actual list.

Five things the price list actually shows
1. Seating is cheap; the table is not
A chair rents for a median of $30 and from as little as $5. A dining table rents for a median of $210. Because you need one chair per guest but only one table per eight, the table line still comes out larger on most floor plans — roughly $26 per guest in tables against $30 per guest in chairs at the medians, and the gap widens fast if you choose a statement table.
2. Bars are the single most expensive object at an event
Portable bars run to $1,890, the highest price in the catalogue, with a median of $690. A bar is one item that almost every event needs and almost nobody budgets properly. On a hundred-guest wedding a single bar can cost more than all the chairs put together.
3. Tabletop is where budgets quietly leak
A plate at $3.99, a glass at $3.65 and flatware at $2.75 look trivial next to a $560 sofa. But they multiply by guest count and by course. At a hundred guests that is $1,039 for one setting each — and a multi-course dinner needs two or three glasses per person, which is another $730 nobody planned for.
4. The lounge is the most elastic line in the budget
Lounge chairs cluster tightly, $189 to $220, but sofas run $390 to $950 and coffee tables $90 to $260. A single cocktail-hour grouping therefore costs anywhere from about $940 to $1,800 for exactly the same four objects. This is the line to flex when the budget moves, not the chairs.
5. Half the catalogue costs less than $90
The median across 239 items is $90. Decor from $1.45, pillows from $14.99, benches from $69, side tables from $80. Most of what makes a room look designed is not the expensive part — the expensive part is the large furniture and the bar, and those are the two lines worth arguing about.

Furniture only, before delivery, linen, florals, lighting and staffing. You can rebuild any of these figures yourself with our event furniture calculator.
Note what does not happen as the guest count grows: the per-guest cost barely falls. Event furniture has almost no economy of scale, because every extra guest needs their own chair, plate and glass. Doubling the wedding roughly doubles the furniture bill.
What is not in these numbers
Delivery, setup and strike are quoted separately, by distance, venue access and the delivery and pickup windows chosen. There is no free-delivery threshold anywhere in this category, and any company advertising free delivery has priced it into the items. Destination deliveries outside Southern California carry a $5,000 order minimum with us.
Linen, florals, lighting, tenting, generators and staffing are separate trades and separate budgets.
