Furniture built for a city that gets photographed
San Francisco events are held to a different visual standard. A City Hall reception, a Presidio tent, a warehouse activation in Dogpatch or a dinner on a Sausalito lawn facing the Golden Gate all end up in a camera, and rental furniture that looks like rental furniture is the fastest way to flatten the frame.
We design and hand-build much of our inventory in California from locally sourced wood, and we have supplied furniture for events with Louis Vuitton, Visa, Four Seasons, Toyota, Red Bull and Montblanc. Farm tables, curved sofas, lounge sets, handcrafted bars and custom branded builds — delivered, placed and styled across the Bay Area.
What Bay Area venues ask of furniture
Three very different environments sit inside an hour of each other here, and each one asks something specific of the furniture you put in it.
The city. San Francisco venues are vertical, old and tightly scheduled. Warehouses in Dogpatch and the Mission, penthouses downtown, museums and private clubs — freight elevators with fixed dimensions, load-in windows measured in hours, streets that need a permit to park a truck on. Pieces have to break down to fit a lift and go back together without a workshop. Ours do, and our crew builds them on site rather than handing a venue a flat pack.
The coast and the Gate. Wind off the water at Marin headland venues, Presidio lawns and Half Moon Bay bluffs is not a breeze — it is the defining condition of the afternoon. Arches get weighted and staked. Light decor gets anchored or left out. Heavy solid-wood tables stay where they are put, which is the whole argument for them.
Wine country. Napa, Sonoma and Healdsburg mean long gravel drives, working vineyards, heat that climbs through the afternoon and dust on everything by five. Finishes have to be cleanable and the crew has to be able to get a truck up the drive. We build for both.
What to check before you book in the Bay Area
Worth asking of any company you are considering up here, ourselves included.
- Whose inventory is it? Much of what is quoted in this market is sub-rented, which is why the same pieces circulate through every portfolio. Ours are designed and hand-built in our own California shop — no sub-rentals, no substitutions on the day.
- Are the prices published? Every price on our site is the real price. Delivery is quoted separately, once we know the venue, the access and the timing.
- How does delivery work? We deliver throughout Northern California as a destination service: a minimum order value applies and the delivery rate is higher than in our home counties. Both numbers are confirmed to you in writing before anything is booked — there is no version where a figure appears later. Within that, you get the same crew, the same pieces and the same two-day rental period as any other booking.
- What does the rental period cover? Our standard booking covers a two-day period at no extra cost, which matters more, not less, when the truck has a long way to come.
- Who handles venue paperwork? Certificates of insurance and approved vendor paperwork for wineries, museums and private clubs are provided as standard.
What San Francisco planners rent most
Five categories cover most Bay Area bookings. Every piece is our own inventory, delivered and set by our own crew.
Lounge furniture for city venues
Curved and modular sofas that break down for a freight elevator and read as furniture rather than rental once they are in. Sofas from $390, lounge chairs from $39, and coffee and side tables from $90 to finish the group.
Farm tables for wine country
Solid-wood farm, harvest and A-frame tables built in our own shop, from $160. The default for a long table down a vineyard row, and heavy enough not to move on uneven ground.
Portable bars and back bars
Portable bars from $399 and back bars from $149.99, including custom-branded builds for activations — a large part of what we do for corporate clients in the city.
Arches and chuppahs
From $189.99, built to be weighted and staked rather than propped, which matters at every coastal and headland venue in the region.
Tableware and glassware
Plates from $3.99, glassware from $3.65 and flatware from $2.75 — the layer that decides whether a table reads as designed or merely set.

Frequently asked questions
Do you actually deliver to San Francisco from Southern California?
Yes. We deliver statewide with our own crew and our own trucks, so the pieces that arrive are the pieces you saw in the collection, handled by people who know how they go together. Northern California deliveries carry a $5,000 minimum order and a delivery charge quoted by distance and access, both confirmed in writing before you book.
What is the minimum order for a Bay Area event?
$5,000 for Northern California. For most weddings above roughly 100 guests that threshold is met by the dining tables, seating and a bar alone, and lounge and arches sit on top of it. Inside our Southern California zone there is no minimum.
Do you handle brand activations and productions, not just weddings?
Yes — a large share of our calendar is corporate. We have supplied furniture for events with Louis Vuitton, Visa, Four Seasons, Toyota, Red Bull and Montblanc, including custom branded builds, and we work to production schedules and COI requirements.
How far in advance should we book?
For peak season and prime Saturdays, several months ahead is wise — signature pieces book first. That said, we hold and quote quickly, so it is always worth asking about a date that feels close.
Can you work with our planner or production company?
Yes, and we prefer to. Send us the floor plan or the deck and we will quote against it, flag anything that will not fit the space, and coordinate load-in directly with the venue.
