How Much Does Wedding Furniture Rental Cost in California?

Real numbers from our own catalogue — per-piece rates, three worked budgets and what actually moves the total.

Quotes answered within the hour · No minimum order in Southern California · 2-day rental period at no extra cost

The short answer

Most of the weddings we quote land between $8,000 and $21,000 for furniture, depending on guest count and how much lounge you build. A 120-guest wedding with dining tables, cross-back chairs, a lounge, a bar and a ceremony arch comes to roughly $12,000 in furniture before delivery.

Everything below comes from our live catalogue rather than an industry average, so you can price your own list rather than guess at a range. Delivery, set-up and collection are quoted separately, because they depend on distance, access and your load-in window rather than on how many chairs you take.

Delivery, set-up and collection are additional and quoted for your venue. These totals assume our typical-rate pieces; choosing the entry-level chair instead of a cross-back, or skipping the lounge, moves the number down materially.

What actually moves the price

  • The chair. At 120 guests the difference between our entry-level chair and a cross-back vineyard chair is a few hundred dollars, and it is the single most visible line in the whole order.
  • Whether you build a lounge. A lounge is the biggest optional block in most budgets. It is also the thing guests photograph and sit in for three hours.
  • Access and load-in. A ground-floor lawn with truck access next to it is the cheapest delivery there is. Stairs, lifts, gravel drives, sand and long carries all add crew time.
  • Timing. Early load-in for a same-day flip, or a late strike because of a venue curfew, both add crew hours.
  • Distance. Inside our Southern California zone delivery is straightforward. Northern California and the Central Coast are quoted as destination deliveries with a $5,000 minimum order.

Where California venues add cost

The venue usually decides more of the delivery cost than the furniture list does. The things that come up most often across California:

  • Resorts that require a certificate of insurance naming the property, which we provide as standard
  • Estates with a firm strike time, which means a late crew rather than a morning collection
  • Beach and bluff sites where access finishes on foot
  • Wine country properties with gravel drives and weight limits on private lanes
  • City venues with permitted street load-in and freight lifts booked by the hour

How to spend less without it looking like you did

  • Put the money on the dining tables and chairs. They are in every wide shot and every guest touches them for three hours.
  • Build one strong lounge instead of three thin ones. Two sofas and a real coffee table read better than a scatter of single chairs.
  • Use benches on one side of the table. They seat three to four for the price of roughly two chairs and they photograph beautifully.
  • Skip cocktail tables if the cocktail hour is short and the space already has ledges and walls to stand at.
  • Tell us the budget. We would rather design to a real number than send a quote you have to cut in half.

Frequently asked questions

Is delivery included in these prices?

No. Delivery, set-up and collection are quoted separately for your venue, because they depend on distance, access and your load-in window rather than on the size of the order. We confirm the figure in writing before you book.

Is there a minimum order?

Not in Southern California. Northern California and the Central Coast carry a $5,000 minimum order, because those are destination deliveries with a crew on the road for the day.

How long is the rental period?

A standard booking covers a two-day rental period at no extra cost, so you are not paying for a rush return the morning after your event.

Do you charge for set-up?

Set-up and placement are part of the delivery quote. Our crew places and levels everything on site and comes back for it — you do not move furniture on your wedding day.

Can you work to a fixed budget?

Yes, and it is the easiest way to work. Tell us the number and the guest count and we will design to it rather than sending a quote you have to cut in half.
