From Coronado sand to Rancho Santa Fe estates
San Diego County covers an unusual range in a short drive: the Hotel del Coronado, La Jolla cliffs and seaside forums, downtown rooftops, and the quiet estate country of Rancho Santa Fe. Each one asks something different of the furniture, and all of them punish anything that looks like standard rental stock.
We design and hand-build much of our inventory in California from locally sourced wood — farm and harvest tables, cross-back chairs, curved sofas, handcrafted bars and custom builds — and San Diego is a core part of our service area, not an outlying delivery.
What coastal San Diego venues ask of furniture
San Diego events happen outdoors more often than almost anywhere else in California, and that changes what the furniture has to survive. A ceremony on the sand at Coronado, a bluff-top dinner above Del Mar, a courtyard reception in Rancho Santa Fe — each one puts a different demand on the pieces that end up in the photographs.
Three things come up again and again. Wind, which builds off the water through the afternoon and peaks at almost exactly the hour cocktails start: light decor moves, tall arches need weighting, and anything paper needs something holding it down. The marine layer, which can sit until noon and leaves every surface damp — solid wood takes that in its stride, while veneer and particle board swell at the seams and never quite recover. Sand, which gets under table feet and into the works of anything with a mechanism; wide, flat feet sit level on it, narrow legs sink.
Our tables are solid wood, built in our own shop, and heavy enough to stay where the crew sets them. Our arches and chuppahs are built to be weighted and staked, not propped. Our lounge pieces are upholstered in fabrics we can clean and re-cover rather than fabrics that mark permanently the first time a glass goes down beside them on the sand.
None of this matters in an indoor ballroom. In San Diego it matters most weekends of the year.
What to check before you book in San Diego
San Diego has a deep bench of rental companies, and the good ones are genuinely good. These are the questions worth asking of any of them, including us.
- Is the inventory theirs? A lot of what is quoted in this market is sub-rented from a larger warehouse, which is why the same six farm tables appear in every portfolio. Ask whose pieces they are. Ours are ours — designed and built in California, no sub-rentals, no substitutions on the day.
- Are the prices published? If a quote is the only way to find out what a chair costs, you cannot compare anything. Every price on our site is the price you pay; delivery is quoted separately once we know the venue, the access and the timing.
- What does the rental period actually cover? A one-day rental that has to be back by 9am turns the morning after your wedding into a logistics problem. Our standard booking covers two days at no extra cost.
- Who handles the venue paperwork? Coronado resorts, Balboa Park venues and gated estates in Rancho Santa Fe and Fairbanks Ranch all want a certificate of insurance and an approved load-in window. We provide COI and vendor paperwork as a matter of course.
- Who is actually delivering? Ask whether the people who set the furniture work for the company or for a third-party courier. Ours is our own crew, and the same crew comes back for pickup.

Our shop is in Anaheim, a little over ninety minutes up the 5 from downtown San Diego, and San Diego County has been part of our standard service area since we started — not an outlying destination with a surcharge attached.
What planners come to us for is the design rather than the logistics. Most event inventory is built for volume: stackable, uniform, and made to disappear into the background. Ours is built to be looked at. The tables are made from locally sourced wood in our own shop, in shapes and finishes we drew ourselves, which is why they do not show up in three other weddings the same weekend.
That work has been used at events for Louis Vuitton, Visa, Four Seasons, Toyota, Red Bull and Montblanc, and at more than a thousand California weddings. Brand teams are unforgiving about how a space reads on camera, and the same qualities that satisfy them — real materials, considered proportions, finishes that photograph warm rather than flat — are what make a San Diego wedding look designed instead of furnished.

Yes — all of San Diego County. We deliver regularly to the Hotel del Coronado, La Valencia, Scripps Seaside Forum, Estancia La Jolla, Darlington House, Rancho Valencia and private estates across the Rancho Santa Fe covenant and North County.
How much does event furniture rental cost in San Diego?
Our published prices are real: farm and dining tables run $160–$680, chairs $5–$60 (cross-back vineyard chairs from $12), sofas $390–$950 and handcrafted portable bars $399–$1,890. Delivery to San Diego is quoted separately based on your venue, access and timing. A typical 120-guest wedding tablescape with farm tables and cross-back chairs starts in the low four figures before delivery.
Is there a minimum order?
No. There is no minimum order value — we will quote a single statement bar or a full 300-guest build with the same care. Delivery is what scales with distance, not a forced minimum.
How long is the rental period?
A standard booking covers a two-day rental period at no extra cost. That means we can deliver the day before and collect the day after, so you are not paying for a rush return the morning after your event.
Do you deliver and set up in San Diego?
Yes. Our own crew delivers, places and styles every piece on site, then returns for pickup. We provide COI and vendor paperwork for resorts, estates and venues that require it, and we handle early load-in or late strike where a venue curfew demands it.
How far in advance should I book?
For peak season and prime Saturdays, six to twelve months ahead is typical — the most in-demand handcrafted pieces book first. That said, we hold live inventory, so it is always worth asking about a closer date.
Can you build custom pieces?
Yes. Many of our pieces are designed and hand-built in California from locally sourced wood, and we regularly build custom tables, bars and branded pieces for weddings and brand activations. Send us the concept and we will price the build.
Do you work with event planners and production agencies?
Constantly. Planners, designers and production agencies are most of our calendar, and we have supplied furniture for events with Louis Vuitton, Visa, Four Seasons, Toyota, Red Bull and Montblanc. Ask about trade terms and priority holds.
