Quotes answered within the hour · No minimum order · 2-day rental period at no extra cost

The decision you make a hundred and fifty times

A wedding rents one arch, two bars and fifteen tables — and a hundred and fifty chairs. Nothing else repeats that often, which is why the chair sets the tone of a dinner more than any other single piece, and why the step from a $5 folding chair to a $12 cross-back is the cheapest upgrade in the whole order.

We hold twenty-one chairs in our own inventory in matched sets, from $5 resin folding to $60 designer dining. No sub-rentals, so a set of a hundred and fifty arrives matched rather than assembled from two warehouses.

The chairs we rent in San Diego

Cross-back and vineyard — from $12

The Cross Back Vineyard Chair at $12 is the most-booked chair we own and the default for a farm-table wedding. Solid wood, X-braced back, photographs warm rather than flat. Weighing it against a chiavari? We went through it in chiavari versus cross-back.

Folding — $5 to $14

Resin Folding at $5, Folding Wooden at $6.50, Tropical Folding at $14. For ceremony seating that has to be set and struck fast, or to put the budget into the tables instead.

Modern and Nordic — $16 to $35

Y Style Modern at $16 and in black at $22, Nordic Armchair at $25, Couture and Aurora Velvet at $27, Bouclé Luna and Elara at $30, Modern Weaver at $33, Parker at $35. For contemporary venues and activations, where a vineyard chair would read as costume.

Designer dining — $39 to $60

Ubud Teak at $39, Glam and Luna at $42, Jaslene and Luma at $44, Olive Line at $45, Arc at $55, Monaco at $60. Head tables, small private dinners, rooms where every seat is on camera.

Benches — $69 to $180

Seven wooden benches from $69. Benches seat about three and a half a side against four in chairs, and they open the sightline down a long table.

How many chairs, and what it costs

Most weddings rent chairs twice — ceremony and dinner — unless the crew flips the ceremony set.

  • 100 guests in cross-back chairs — $1,200
  • 150 guests in cross-back chairs — $1,800
  • 150 guests in resin folding for the ceremony and cross-back for dinner — $2,550, or $1,800 if we flip
  • 200 guests in designer dining chairs at $44 — $8,800

Flipping saves a full ceremony set but needs thirty to forty-five minutes of crew time and a cocktail hour long enough to cover it. Send us the timeline and we will say whether it works.

Chairs at San Diego venues

On sand — Coronado, Del Mar, Mission Beach, Encinitas

Narrow legs sink and a chiavari will tip on the first uneven patch. Wide-footed folding and cross-back frames sit better, and the crew levels the rows rather than setting them to a line on a plan.

On grass and bluffs — La Jolla, Torrey Pines, Rancho Santa Fe

Same problem, less extreme. Solid-wood cross-back chairs hold position; lightweight resin walks in an afternoon breeze.

Courtyards and indoors — Balboa Park, downtown, mission venues

Where the designer dining chairs earn their money: nothing to fight, so the chair is purely a design decision.

Frequently asked questions

How much does chair rental cost in San Diego?

From $5 for resin folding to $60 for designer dining. The cross-back vineyard chair, which most weddings choose, is $12. Delivery is quoted separately.

Cross-back or chiavari?

Cross-back suits wood tables, natural florals and outdoor venues; chiavari suits linen and formal rooms. Full comparison in chiavari versus cross-back chairs.

Do I need two sets of chairs?

Only if the timeline will not allow a flip. Flipping saves a ceremony set but needs thirty to forty-five minutes of crew time and a cocktail hour to cover it.

Will chairs stand up on sand?

Wide-footed folding and cross-back frames do; narrow-legged formal chairs do not. Our crew levels each row rather than following a plan.

Can I mix styles?

Yes, and it often looks better — designer chairs at the head table, cross-back elsewhere.

Do you deliver across San Diego County?

Yes. Coronado, downtown, La Jolla, Del Mar, Encinitas, Carlsbad, Rancho Santa Fe and the inland venues are all regular runs for our own crew.
